Abstract

Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) is a common endocrine disorder affecting women of reproductive age, characterized by hormonal imbalance, irregular menstrual cycles, and multiple ovarian cysts. It is associated with metabolic complications such as insulin resistance, obesity, and increased risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. PCOD can significantly impact fertility, psychological well-being, and overall quality of life. Early diagnosis and management are essential to prevent long-term complications and improve reproductive and metabolic outcomes.
